What this site collects
Comparison Experts does not operate quote forms and does not ask you for personal details in order to read it. We collect only what is necessary to run the site: server logs including IP address and browser type, and aggregate analytics about which pages are read.
If you email us, we hold that correspondence so we can answer it.
What happens if you follow a link to one of our comparison sites
Each comparison site in the group is a separate service with its own privacy notice, and any enquiry you make there is governed by that notice rather than this one. Those sites pass enquiries to matched suppliers so they can quote you, and they tell you so before you submit.
Cookies
We use only what is necessary to serve the site, plus analytics where you have consented. Full detail is on our cookie policy.
Lawful basis
For running and securing the site, our legitimate interests. For optional analytics, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep things
Server logs for a short operational period. Email correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the matter and any follow-up.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, ask for erasure in most circumstances, restrict or object to processing, and object to direct marketing at any time. Email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update the date at the foot of this page.
