Our method
How we compare
What goes into a category page, where the numbers come from, and what we will not claim.
Every category page follows the same shape
An indicative price range first, then what moves that price, then the questions to put to a supplier, then the questions we get asked. The order is deliberate: a price you cannot sanity-check makes a quote impossible to judge, so it comes before anything else.
Where the price ranges come from
Published prices where suppliers publish them, quoted ranges from across the market, and the pricing patterns we see through the group. They are ranges rather than averages because the spread is the useful information — a category where quotes vary threefold is one where comparing pays, and a category where they barely vary is one where it does not.
Each page states when its figures were last reviewed. The current review date is August 2026. If a figure looks wrong to you, we would rather know.
What we will not claim
We do not publish savings figures we cannot stand behind. Solar generation can be modelled; future bill savings depend on tariffs nobody can predict, so we describe the mechanism instead of promising a number.
We do not publish supplier league tables. We are not in a position to rate suppliers independently across every category, and a table that looks independent but is not would be worse than no table.
We do not use invented review counts, invented statistics, or star ratings we did not collect.
Where the enquiry goes
This site does not take quote enquiries. Each category links to the specialist site for that vertical, and that site handles the enquiry under its own privacy terms. What happens to your details afterwards is set out in our guide on exactly that.
Corrections
Send corrections to contact@leadlocators.co.uk. If we have a figure or a rule wrong, we will change it and the page will show a new review date.
